Queen Street Mill is opening once again

The team at Queen Street Mill have been working hard during the pandemic to protect our heritage and maintain the machinery – ensuring ‘Peace’ has a good nights sleep until the time comes to roar again, and that time is coming!

Providing everything goes according to plan and we don’t find ourselves thrown back into lockdown, the team at the mill aim to re-open to the public on Thursday 20th May.

From the 20th the mill will be open on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays to the general public and there will be weaving demonstrations, guided tours every half-hour from 12:15 – 15:15 and to stay safe are limited to 6 people. Places on the tours can be booked in advance either online or over the phone (0300 123 6701)

At this moment in time the boiler is not currently up and running due to routine maintenance but Lancashire County Council hope to have it up-to-speed soon.

More information on booking tours and updated events guides will be available on the Briercliffe Community Hub website as and when we receive updates from the Queen Street Mill team – sign up to our newsletter to stay updated.
